I like the convenience of wraps. You can have almost anything in wrap form and it becomes easier to handle, eat, and transport. Add that to a place with great food and amazing service and you have a winning combination no matter what kind of food you're eating. Johnny's Shawarma is a place with great tasting shawarma and fantastic service. It feels like you're being served by your friends who happen to have great cooking skills.
Enough about the restaurant and onto the food. After you order, and it doesn't matter what you order, just the smell alone is so satisfying. This time around I ordered mixed beef and chicken shawarma pita wraps. Once again I was very pleased with my food.
Inside a warm pita is both beef and chicken shawarma. Warm and juicy, the meat tastes great with all the spices. Next, the tang of garlic (tahini) sauce, pickles and turnips gives zest and crunch, brightening up the wrap. A little bit of hot sauce for a bit of spice, and a quick press in the grill, and this wrap is done. Seriously, I finished it five minutes after the picture was taken.
This wrap is fantastic and that's the same about anything from Johnny's Shawarma. I highly recommend going if you have the chance.
