Marble Slab Creamery

After a nice, filling meal at Salad King, my wife and I decided to go a few stores over to Marble Slab Creamery for some dessert. Marble Slab is a playground for those who like total control over their ice cream. There are three sizes measured in ounces. You can choose from a dozen made-in-house flavours to go in a variety of waffle cones, dipped or not. Before they put the ice cream in the cone, they put it on a cold slab and "knead" it, adding whatever toppings you desire. You can pick from about a dozen toppings, including cookie pieces, brownie bits, fruit, and even bubble gum bits.

For $6.09, I had a regular size (7oz) waffle bowl with two different ice creams and one topping: Red Velvet and Birthday Cake ice creams, with Skor bits mixed in.

This was a very decadent combination. It tasted like some genius found a way to make Red Velvet ice cream cake. Smooth and rich with the Skor bits providing a nice crunchy counterpoint and extra texture, this combination goes down in my books as one to remember for the next time I visit the Marble Slab Creamery.
